Point Reyes Oysters

“He was a bold man that first eat an oyster”--Jonathan Swift
One of my favourite Bay Area pastimes is hiking in Point Reyes in the summertime and then downing cold beer and barbecued oysters in Point Reyes Station or Bolinas. A close second is doing the latter with friends in the EastBay. BTW, I've read that raw oysters are better when the oysters aren't spawning-- non-summer months. I just saw a place I haven't been to in 3+ years {Lukas Taproom} now has a Monday oyster night. Too bad it has such a sports bar vibe and I recall a narrow layout that made me claustrophobic, but I did like their beer selection. I think I just need to find the time to make it out to west Marin. The question is whether I'll order them with or without frim fram sauce.

Fave hiking area:: Chimney Point.

I think those were Malpeques from PEI we had. Will have to do this again soon! What about crab season? I always wanted to check out that place on Broadway nr. 40th. on Oaktown.
