The Web 2.0 Wayback Machine :: Bandai's Cat's Paw

image:: Bandai's "Neko Nyanbou"from 2006, akihabaranews

If this looks kinky, I'll let you work that out with your shrink. I missed this as it was making the rounds a 4 years ago. It's Bandai's "Neko Nyanbou". What's not to like and be bewildered by a fake cat's paw with retractable claws. I could have been worse. It could have been marketed in the US with a spokescat, Geoffrey Catnada, with a companion book, Paw Claw Jaw Gun.

Neko Nyambou shouldn't be confused with this other treasure, albeit a tad disturbing and perhaps too-suggestive to wayward Alberta teens, from the web vaults::

So, if you're wondering what you would do with your ersatz cat's paw, Bandai offered up these serving suggestions::

The image of the kid getting beaten with the cat paws reminds me of the film, Battle Royale/バトル・ロワイアル {2000}, with a hat-tip to Chad Vickers for screening that gem for me way back when::

Twitterversion:: #Web2_0_WaybackMachine feat.Bandai's Neko Nyanbou—fake cat paw w/retractable claw. Perfect 4 those Battle Royale moments. http://url.ie/5q3h @Prof_K

Song:: David Robert Jones-'Cat People' {click on image to play. I still think his serious moonlight look is ridonculous & now I'll always think of Inglourious Basterds when I hear this song.}
