Cialis & Her Favourite Time of Day

These uke-laden spots have been showing up pitching Cialis as a lifestyle accoutrement. They're done by GREY Canada with production information here. So, nighttime might be the right time, but so are afternoons::

and mornings::

The execution is uneven in these, but will these ads work? The target audience is women and the pitch is to get your man in the background to pitch a tent during your favourite time to play. Something's a bit off with the concept, in my book. Erectile dysfunction ads are often best when they use humour. There is a bit of tongue-in-cheek here, but these ads are pretty straightforward in their message appeal and the three different spots dilute the concept.

While not too subtle, why not adapt "Rock Around the Clock" to a Cialis ad {the "rock" can punctuate certain activities in the visual}, with all the suggestive imagery one comes to expect from of an Axe body spray commercial::

Although that would probably appeal more to men...or an Adult Swim audience. Back to the drawing board...

Song:: Starland Vocal Band & Ron Burgundy soundtrack

Twitterversion:: [blog+video] New #Cialis ads appealing to women's desire to play during her favourite time of day...
